Matthew Rhys Returns With A New Mystery To Solve In March

For a while, the biggest news surrounding HBO’s reboot of “Perry Mason” was the behind-the-scenes drama, as it took forever for the show to come together. At one point, Robert Downey, Jr. was attached to star. Eventually, RDJ became just a producer, but the series did finally get released with Matthew Rhys as the title character. And when the series did debut on HBO, it shocked many people as it was a really solid period mystery series with solid acting and direction. Now, folks are excited to see what’s in store for Season 2.

As seen in the teaser for Season 2, “Perry Mason” returns and picks up months after the end of the first season. There’s a new case for Perry Mason to solve, as a member of a very powerful, wealthy family is murdered. As you might expect, it’s not a simple case, as there are ties to various conspiracies and whatnot. You know, the shit you come to “Perry Mason” expecting.
Here’s the synopsis for Season 2:
Months after the Dodson case has come to an end, the scion of a powerful oil family is brutally murdered. When the DA goes to the city’s Hoovervilles to pinpoint the most obvious of suspects, Perry, Della, and Paul find themselves at the center of a case that will uncover far reaching conspiracies and force them to reckon with what it truly means to be guilty.

The cast for the series includes Rhys, Juliet Rylance, Chris Chalk, Shea Whigham, Eric Lange, Justin Kirk, Diarra Kilpatrick, Katherine Waterston, Hope Davis, Fabrizio Guido, Peter Mendoza, Mark O’Brien, Paul Raci, Jen Tullock, Jon Chaffin, Onahoua Rodriguez, Jee Young Han, Sean Astin, Tommy Dewey, and Wallace Langham.
