Keke Palmer can’t escape her calling and… there’s nothin’ you or anyone else can do. The star of Jordan Peele’s Nope is clearly aware of the fan movement calling for Marvel Studios to cast her as Rogue in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (p. On October 30, 2022, Palmer dressed up as the fan-favorite mutant, presumably to celebrate Halloween… but possibly also to show K.E.V.I.N. how dope she looks as Mrs. LaBeau. The Scream Queens actor—who just launched her own digital TV network, KeyTV, earlier this month—even made a sizzle reel with visual effects of herself as the marvelous mutant superhero.
Since it was announced that the X-Men would be officially joining the MCU, fans have been casting the who’s who of Hollywood in fan-favorite roles. Sparked by a now-viral TikTok video, Palmer first made headlines during Nope’s promotional tour over her desire to play Anna Marie LaBeau (previously played by Anna Paquin in the 20th Century Fox films). The support Palmer has received from fans over her playing Rogue is inspired by the actor’s on- and off-screen personality, and this Halloween, the Hustlers actor only proved why everyone is so keen to see her appear in the MCU.
MOVIEWEB VIDEO OF THE DAY
Not content with a store-bought costume for Halloween 2022, Palmer had a custom-made green-and-gold Rogue super suit, with the suit featuring allusions to the classic Marvel Comics suit, X-Men ’97, and the Bryan Singer X-Men series with the black leather. The KeyTV network executive even had a professional photo shoot (posted to Twitter) and sizzle reel (posted to Instagram) created of herself donning the knock-out costume to get fans even more hyped on the possibility of her playing Rogue in the MCU.
“There’s nothing I won’t do for you guys!” Palmer posted on Instagram alongside the sizzle reel of herself as Rogue. “In your Marvel Universe, I’ll always be Rogue.” Over on Twitter, alongside four images of herself in costume, Palmer tweeted a nod to the social media campaign to get her cast as the long-time X-Men member, saying, “You had a request…”

Fans Really Want Keke Palmer to Play Rogue
Fox Network
The conversation surrounding Palmer as Rogue was sparked by a TikTok video posted by a user named Jacob Ford Ridgway, who suggested that Palmer’s dynamic personality made her perfect for Rogue. Regarding a video of Palmer saying she was “manifesting a superhero role” while dressed in head-to-toe leather Roberto Cavalli for Vogue’s “7 Days, 7 Looks,” Ridgway said, “I loved seeing this video of Keke Palmer shooting her shot at [Marvel for] a superhero role, but I looked in the comments, and there weren’t really any good suggestions. If you want [Keke] to deliver a powerhouse lead, she’s gotta have room to play in that role. There’s only one way I can think of to give her that fun, boisterous role that she thrives in while also pissing a bunch of people off — let her be Rogue! Let her wear daisy dukes and throw a truck at Carol Danvers.”
Since the TikTok video, Palmer has publicly said that she is ready to play the character in the Kevin Feige-helmed Marvel universe, telling Comicbook.com earlier in October: “I just know that the fans, the way that the fans have me booked, honey, online, I got to do a gig every week. So if we’re adding Marvel to it, hey, let’s do it. I’m ready for Rogue.”
