Nicole Kidman’s Wellness Guru Series Returns May 21 On Hulu

Apr 29, 2025

How far will Masha Dmitrichenko go to transform her guests? The famed guru is back for a new season of “Nine Perfect Strangers.” Hulu’s original series builds off of an impressive debut, which garnered critical praise as well as strong ratings. This upcoming season is set far from Cabrillo, opting for the frigid mysteries of the Austrian Alps.
Nicole Kidman returns as Masha. The acclaimed actress offers another memorable performance as this enigmatic Russian self-help expert. Masha’s approach during the first season shocked many, in no small part thanks to her microdosing guests without approval. This time, her methods promise to be even more shocking for viewers. Kidman also assumes extra duties on the project, serving as executive producer.
The series’ upcoming season recruits more talented performers to work with the Academy Award winner. Henry Golding, Lena Olin, Annie Murphy, Christopher Barnask, Lucas Englander, King Princess, Murray Bartlett, Dolly de Leon, Maxie Richardson-Sellers, Mark Strong, and Aras Aydin round out the cast.
The series’ official synopsis via Hulu:
“Nine new strangers connected in ways they could never imagine are invited by mysterious guru Masha Dmitrichenko (Nicole Kidman) to join a transformational wellness retreat in the Austrian Alps. Over the course of a week, she takes them to the brink. Will they make it? Will she? Masha is willing to try anything in the interest of healing everyone involved, including herself.”
