In anticipation of the new trailer, which is due to debut during halftime of the NFL Wild Card Game, a new poster for The Mandalorian Season 3 has now been unveiled. Released courtesy of the official Twitter account for The Mandalorian, the poster finds Grogu once again in the protective arms of Din Djarin, with the pair leaping into action as they continue to journey across the galaxy. Check out the striking new poster for The Mandalorian Season 3 below.

Merely the sight of Grogu and The Mandalorian back together again is sure to have fans of the hugely successful Star Wars spinoff series excited for the third season. The Mandalorian first began back in 2019, and introduces audiences to a largely unexplored era of the Star Wars galaxy. On screen, at least. Led by Pedro Pascal, The Mandalorian picks up five years after the events of Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi, centering on a lone bounty hunter who is forced to go on the run in order to protect the mysterious Force-sensitive child, Grogu.

The Mandalorian Season 3 Finds the Bounty Hunter Stepping onto New Ground

While we await the new trailer for The Mandalorian Season 3, we can stew over the details we already have. Most notably, that the upcoming season will find Din Djarin stepping into a leader position upon returning to the planet Mandalore, the homeworld of the Mandalorians. A position that the solitary warrior will be hesitant to accept.

“If he is stepping into a leadership position, he’s reluctant to do so,” Pascal said of the character’s return. “I don’t think that there’s anything more interesting than a character being forced into discovering what they’re capable of, and who they are. That part has been really, really fun. Also, from my point of view, there’s so many searchable ways to find the tonality of that. I just tried to achieve the subtleties of that kind of character development.”

Set to be led once again by Pedro Pascal as Din Djarin aka The Mandalorian and his ward, The Mandalorian will see the return of Star Wars: The Clone Wars favorite Bo-Katan Kryze, played by Battlestar Galactica star Katee Sackhoff, alongside Giancarlo Esposito as Moff Gideon, Carl Weathers as Greef Karga, and Emily Swallow as “The Armorer.” The Mandalorian Season 3 will also add Back to the Future legend Christopher Lloyd and The Goldbergs star Tim Meadows to proceedings.

The Mandalorian Season 3 is scheduled to premiere on March 1, 2023 on the streaming service Disney+.
