‘Battle Camp’s Chase and Georgia On Importance of Their Alliance
May 22, 2025
In an interview with Collider, Georgia Hassarati and Chase DeMoor reveal how they defied the odds and reached the end of Battle Camp.
Georgia found success by being herself and building connections with everyone in the house.
Chase emphasized the importance of teamwork and alliances in navigating the cutthroat competition at Battle Camp.
It’s an honor to be a part of the Netflix Reality Universe, but to have multiple franchises under your belt, you have to be something special. When compiling the roster for Battle Camp, nearly every player came from a singular show. For Chase DeMoor and Georgia Hassarati, they had two each: Too Hot to Handle and Perfect Match. Being legends of Netflix certainly helped their time navigating the unpredictable waters at Battle Camp.
Georgia began the game from the start. Chase arrived later in the game. But for both reality stars, they managed to defy the odds and reach the end, thanks to their bonds and alliances. Pushing love to the side, they were able to focus on the competition at hand, playing two exceptional games as members of the Bears. “We kinda made a pact with each other that we’re going to take care of one another. It definitely felt good and reassuring to have them with me at the Wheel every night and going to sleep every night in the cabin. Our team was never really affected,” Chase says.
Georgia Reveals Her Number One ‘Battle Camp’ Ally

Georgia described Battle Camp simply: “Terrifying, uncomfortable, and bad food.” It’s quite different from her previous Netflix reality experiences. Not only did she have two under her belt, but she was also the champion of Perfect Match Season 1. Did this help or hinder her time for Battle Camp? “I think it helped because I had seen some familiar faces before, and I feel like it was such a different experience,” she says. “I think I was more comfortable being in front of cameras and things like that. I knew the drill. But, other than that, it’s such a different show [from] what I’ve done. I’m used to lounging around by the pool, tanning, looking cute all day, and talking to boys. This was a very different style of show.”
When the game began, the Bears had a mix of personalities on the team. Whether it was the lovable character Lorenzo Nobilio from Squid Game: The Challenge or Tony Castellanos from The Mole, Georgia’s ability to control the dynamics of her team proved just how strong her social prowess was in Battle Camp. “Honestly, I had such a great dynamic with my team. I loved how full of personality they were,” she says. “Obviously, me and Lorenzo hit it off from the beginning, so I felt super comfortable having him on my team. It was like having a family member there with me. Like a best friend. It was super easy. Honestly, without him, it would have been really difficult.”
Chase Reveals His ‘Battle Camp’ Strategy
“I always think in my head, I’m playing chess and everyone’s playing checkers.”

For his part, he described Battle Camp as “dirty, cold, stressful.” But even so, he is now, officially, an NRU All-Star. “It feels good,” he says. ” To be honest with you, I feel like I’ve been doing this for so long now, I don’t know how I would have [taken] it if I didn’t get on the show. I was really happy to be compared to some of these other people.” Naming the likes of Georgia and her Netflix accolades, Louis Russell of Too Hot to Handle, Nick Uhlenhuth of The Circle, and Gabi Butler and Morgan Simianer of Cheer fame, Chase was honored to be considered to hang out with these legends.
The necessity of having a strong physical, social, and strategic game. For Chase, strategy was key. “I always think in my head, I’m playing chess and everyone’s playing checkers. I think going into Battle Camp, it was very difficult because, in my head, I’m saying, ‘It’s important to bring strategy.’ But similar to coming from different shows in the NRU universe, I have a preconceived notion of who I am. It was definitely more of bringing my genuine self, not so much the reality TV version of Chase, but who I am in real life.”
For Chase, his game started about halfway through. As one of the midpoint team captains, he didn’t get the full scope of the experience, but he certainly did bring his A game. “It was definitely a challenge because there’s a lot of rumors and speculations that go through the camp, between people saying, ‘We know who’s waiting,” Chase revealed. “When you are the villain on TV, there’s always that thought in most people’s heads that maybe we shouldn’t kick the guy out because Chase might show up. And it’s the perfect show for Chase. I think going into it off the rift, I had a lot of weight on my shoulders in trying to build friends and be unhatable, basically digging myself out of a hole.”
Georgia and Chase Explain Their Team Pact
“I was not even going to get a chance at this thing.”
Battle Camp tested its players like a good reality television show should. While mind games are inherent to any reality competition, it’s the challenges that can make or break someone’s game. At Battle Camp, the campers were sent to the Wall to compete in some of the most exhilarating challenges, where height became their biggest foe. “That’s my worst part of the whole experience, that Wall,” she says with fear still in her voice. “I don’t like heights and anything to do with that structure, I hated. I’m better on the ground. I’ll do any other challenge. Water challenges or whatever, but that wall? Hated it.” The other foe in the game came courtesy of the Wheel.
“It was definitely tough because I was on the Wheel first day getting in there. I was not even going to get a chance at this thing. I really didn’t understand how it worked at first,” Chase says. “Obviously, you have to overcome a lot of preconceived notions that people had of me and wanting me out of there…If I’m out of here, I’m out of here. If not, I’m coming with everything I’ve got.”
After overcoming the mechanics in the game, both Chase and Georgia found themselves proudly in the endgame. So, how did they get there? For Georgia, she says, “What I found worked well for me was to be myself, be nice, get along with everyone from every single team. You can be with your team and you’re riding for your team, but you also need to make friends with everyone else because, at the end of the day, if you lose, they can vote for you. If they don’t like you, it’s more of a reason to get rid of you. You have to build those connections with everyone in the house and maintain that so people feel closer to you and are less inclined to vote for you.”

Chase, for his part, didn’t expect Battle Camp to be so cutthroat. “My idea of going into that was I was going to do challenges and in my head I was like, ‘As long as I win all the challenges, I’m never going to be up for elimination,’ but they found a way to make it very even for everybody,” Chase said.
“Kind of piggybacking off what Georgia said, to play the solo game, it’s also about playing the team game and having friends in there. Having Georgia, Lorenzo, and I; we’re all really close. We kinda made a pact to each other that we’re going to take care of one another. It definitely felt good and reassuring to have them with me at the Wheel every night and going to sleep every night in the cabin. Our team was never really affected.”
