Elizabeth Olsen & Cristin Milioti FX Series From Sean Durkin Rounds Out Main Cast

Apr 16, 2025

“Seven Sisters” is an upcoming FX series from director Sean Durkin (“The Iron Claw”) that stars heavyweight actresses Elizabeth Olsen and Cristin Milioti, the latter had a breakout performance in the critically acclaimed HBO series “The Penguin.”
The two playing sisters and even more actors have joined the high-profile streaming series, as the other family members have been cast in key roles.

Those new names joining the pilot, courtesy of a report from Deadline, are Meredith Hagner (“Search Party”), Odessa Young (“The Order”), Zoë Winters (“Succession”), Bridget Brown (“Wiener-Dog”), and Carolyn Kettig in the roles of the remaining five sisters, with Philip Ettinger (“Wildcat”) cast as their brother.
Durkin isn’t the only high-profile creative on the project, as the pilot for “Seven Sisters” was written by “Irma Vep” and “Succession” writer and playwright Will Arbery.
A logline for “Seven Sisters” mentioned in the report:
“A large, tight-knit family that begins to unravel when a sister (Olsen) starts communicating with a voice no one else can hear, forcing them to confront long-buried secrets.”
Olsen has been moving between film and television a lot lately, with previous small screen credits including “Love & Death,” “Sorry For Your Loss,” Marvel‘s “WandaVision,” and had once been linked to an adaptation of the Scottish-set Charlotte McConaghy novel “Once There Were Wolves.”
The in-demand actress had also revealed not too long ago that her commitments to “Seven Sisters” would likely prevent a grand return to the MCU for “Avengers: Doomsday” (Olsen’s name glaringly missing from the big casting announcements) and “Avengers: Secret Wars.” Although it remains to be seen if they simply shoot her scenes later on.

We can’t wait to see how “Seven Sisters” comes together and if Olsen will end up working on the FX series for years to come, that will ultimately be down to viewership, and if the creatives and studio want to pursue multiple seasons.
