With the debut of the second season drawing near, some of the cast of Yellowjackets wrapped up filming. The hit Showtime series was one of the big surprises of 2021 and quickly got renewed for its second part, which will hit the small screen on March 24.

Through Twitter, the actress and protagonist of the show, Melanie Lynskey, revealed that the cast in charge of carrying out the story in the 90s has already finished its part of the filming. In addition, she took a moment to congratulate her colleagues for their outstanding work:

“Sorry to be sappy but the 90s cast of Yellowjackets wrapped yesterday and we all sat and watched episode 201 together… and other than my siblings, I have never felt this level of pride and respect and adoration for a group of people. I can’t believe their talent and their hearts.”

Yellowjackets follows a talented team of high school soccer players who become the unfortunate survivors of a plane crash deep in the remote northern forest. The series chronicles their descent from a complicated team into savage clans while tracing the lives they tried to rebuild nearly 25 years later, proving that the past is never truly the past and what began in the wilderness is not over.
