Art World Drama Starring Adam Driver & Jessica Chastain Picked-Up For Series Order By Apple TV+
Mar 25, 2025
Apple TV+ has reportedly picked up the new drama series, “The Dealer,” taking place within the art world with stars two-time Oscar-nominee Adam Driver (“A Marriage Story”) and Oscar-winner Jessica Chastain (“The Eyes of Tammy Faye”) set as the new show’s main leads.
A rather substantial update on the new project hails from Deadline, who says Apple has given “The Dealer” a full series order and will be another high-profile acquisition by the growing streaming service. The Media Res drama has landed a straight-to-series order with Sam Gold directing and Lucas Hnath writing “The Dealer.”

Also, in the report, the outlet mentioned a brief synopsis for show, which is “a biting exploration of power, class, seduction, and culture set inside the glittering world of the high-end art market, told through the eyes of an aspiring super gallerist and the tangled relationship with her most gifted and unnerving artist.”
We already know what the pair’s roles are going to be as Chastain is set to play the aforementioned gallerist in the new streaming series, with Driver playing her artist.
“The Dealer” marks Driver’s second television role after making waves on HBO‘s “Girls,” and Chastain had previously tackled the small screen, reuniting with her “A Most Violent Year” co-star Oscar Isaac for the HBO miniseries “Scenes From A Marriage.”
The producing team features A Doll’s House, Part 2 (Gold, Hnath, and Sarah Lunnie), Michael Ellenberg and Lindsey Springer of Media Res, Chastain and Kelly Carmichael for Freckle Films, Driver and Alan Poul, and Arianna Anderson.

Given the high-profile nature of the series and Apple’s proclivity for pursuing big-name talent (as established with these two lead parts), we might end up seeing other well-known actors getting involved with “The Dealer” when it comes time to cast supporting roles opposite Chastain and Driver.
