Disney+ Launches The Simpsons Stream with Rolling 24/7 Content

Mar 19, 2025

It couldn’t possibly be easier to watch The Simpsons

than it is on Disney+, where all seasons are streaming alongside many shorts and specials…but for those who are completely lazy or just very indecisive, the House of Mouse has made it even easier to switch on to the Springfield family with just one click. From today, March 18, Disney+ has added a 24-hour stream that will initially feature all 767 playing in chronological order. For those who can’t do the quick math, that is almost 300 hours of Simpsons content playing in a continuous loop.
“From day one, the fans have asked for a Stream of The Simpsons, and we’re happy to oblige,” said Gabe Lewis, SVP of Programming & Content Curation, Disney+. “Streams on Disney+ have been a fantastic go-to experience for subscribers looking to sit back and relax with their favorite shows and movies, and we look forward to evolving the user experience and expanding the offering with more Streams, to more subscribers, later this year.”

“The Simpsons Stream will deliver a Simpsons marathon all day, every day — no matter when you tune in, this ultimate Simpsons binge will be there,” added showrunner Matt Selman.
Disney+ Streams already allow Premium subscribers to watch a variety of content as a direct, always-on-roll of content. This includes compilations of Disney’s big brands, some nostalgic hits from the past, and documentaries, and it looks like they will be adding more of these in the near future. The Simpsons Stream will be refreshed monthly, although how this will change from month to month is unclear.
Of course, there are 35 seasons of The Simpsons available to stream at any time already on the platform, along with The Simpsons Movie and all the specials that have been released since the inception of Disney+. These will all remain on-demand for those who prefer to pick out specific episodes to watch.
How Long Will ‘The Simpsons’ Run?

Fox

Last year, co-showrunner Al Jean shared his confidence that, despite numerous complaints about the show having run its course and no longer being funny, it has not reached its expiry date just yet. In fact, he has a specific number of episodes that he believes the series can achieve in the coming years. Jean said:

“With the help of our animators, we had a full slate of shows this year, which looked terrific. We did have to just take a break for four months because of the strike, which I’m glad we did, that was what we should have done. But I think the show is in fantastic shape. I’m biased, but I think that the current episodes are, whether I work on one, a lot or not, are great. And I think that the future is bright, it’s gonna go to 800, and I hope 1000.”
