This series hails from co-writer and executive producer Damon Lindelof and showrunner/executive producer and writer Tara Hernandez (“The Big Bang Theory,” “Young Sheldon“), who really runs the series. ‘Davis’ represents another step towards sci-fi drama that Lindelof has keenly navigated with prior titles — his work notably includes 2019’s “Watchmen” series as well as “The Leftovers” and “Lost.” Lindelof created the series with Tara Hernandez. The writer has worked with popular comedies like “The Big Bang Theory” and its spin-off “Young Sheldon.” Their creative pairing came about as Lindelof was looking for ways to step back from showrunner duties; together, they found an argument about an app at the heart of their idea. “Within half an hour, it was. That’s what the nuns should be fighting against. Because if that app existed, it would ultimately replace God,” Lindelof told Vulture.
The series also co-stars Jake McDorman and Andy McQueen star, along with recurring cast Ben Chaplin, Margo Martindale, David Arquette, Elizabeth Marvel, Katja Herbers, Chris Diamantopoulos, Ashley Romans, Tom Wlaschiha and Mathilde Ollivier.
The series’ official synopsis:
