How will Josie and Billie balance family issues with their own needs? The sisters are back for a new season of “Such Brave Girls.” This critically acclaimed comedy sees the pair navigating already complicated lives. Their mother, Deb, is still involved with the less-than-thrilling Dev. Josie continues tolerating Seb while dealing with her own sexuality. Meanwhile, Billie faces off against her darkest urges. Creator and star Kat Sadler offers a nuanced take on our social as well as familial connections. Sadler previously worked with several well-known comedians, including Frankie Boyle, Joe Lycett, and Mel Giedroyc.

Director Simon Bird helms the second season, having directed the entire first season. Viewers will likely recognize him from his time in front of the camera. He starred as Will on “The Inbetweeners” and its subsequent films. Bird additionally starred on the Bafta-nominated series “Friday Night Dinner.”
The main cast of “Such Brave Girls” returns for this upcoming season. Sadler and Lizzie Davidson once again star as Josie and Bille. Louise Brealey reprises her role as the siblings’ mother, Deb. Paul Bazely and Freddie Meredith round out the cast.
The series’ official synopsis:
The series follows Josie (Kat Sadler), her sister, Billie (Lizzie Davidson), and their mother, Deb (Louise Brealey), risking everything they’ve got for a single scrap of love and adoration. Still desperately trying to escape the reality of their cramped, crumbling, debt-ridden home, it’s a good thing Dev (Paul Bazely) and Seb (Freddie Meredith) are coming to the rescue.
