Villain Malayalam Movie Review & Rating

Villain Malayalam Movie Poster

Rating: 2.5/5

Villain, which is B Unnikrishnan and actor Mohanlal combinational movie released in theatres. The most awaited movie and its review is here. Lets go for the review.

First of all, please set your mind for what I am saying about the movie. The movie is not purely a thriller one. It works on emotionally.

Secondly the dont expect a heavy movie like Grandmaster which was another B Unnikrishnan and Mohanlal combinational thriller movie.

Mathew Manjooran is the role played by actor Mohanlal and he is ADGP police officer. On the day of his retirement a murder occur and what follows next is the rest of the story.

Mohanlal is convincing as a dejected cop, who is stuck in the past and looking for a reason to continue living. Vishal does justice to his role but doesn’t quite come up as a seeming match for Mohanlal’s persona of a cop.

Actors Manju Warrier, Hansika Motwani, Raashi Khanna and Siddique play their parts well with their limited screen space.

The narration of the movis little bit different. But fails to impress. Almost the whole story is predictable and is a simple villain and cop story.

When the plot started moving in an emotional way, the whole expectation faded. Songs were good specially Kandittum Kandittum. But the background score was not upto the mark. The action sequences were good.

Overall the movie can be said as an average movie. Dont expect too much and expect only a movie to watch this weekend.
