Rudra Simhasanam Poster

Rudra Simhasanam – Malayalam Movie Review

Rating: 2.5/5

Rudra Simhasanam horror movie by Shibu Gangadharan reached theatres on 31 July 2015 with some expectation. But the movie failed to catch up with the expectations by audience which created after its trailer and audio launch. This movie depends on Ananthabhadram the movie which released in 2005 directed by Santhosh Sivan and written by Sunil Parameswar. This movie is also penned by Sunil Parameswar.

The audience who got impressed with the trailer cant expect anything more than that in the movie. The movie doesn’t offer anything more interesting than the trailer. Nikki Galrani plays the role of Haimavathi a woman in Maravathoor Manna. Something bad events happening to get into Haimavathi’s life. Rudra Simhan, played by Suresh Gopi who is a tantra lives in forest tries to make everything favorouble for Haimavathi. This is the main theme of the story.

Suresh Gopi is the one who had done one best performance in the movie. But the three heroines Nikki Galrani, Swetha Menon, and Kaniha couldn’t make their roles upto the mark. Vira Bhairavan, a negative role in the movie played by Sudheer Karamana marks similarities to Dhigambharan played by Manoj K Jayan in the movie Ananthabhadram.

The movie is trying to tell a story with weak script. There is only some good visual which we can say is best. The music of Rudra Simhasanam is composed by Viswajith and the background score of the movie is also good. But this horror movie lacks some thrilling experiences and also failed to carry the suspense of the movie. This movie is not a must watch movie but try to watch the movie only in theatres dont promote piracy.
